Caring For Our Common Home

Art Mile is committed to caring for our planet. We have surveyed the best practices of the hospitality sector and made conscious choices to contribute to a more sustainable future for all.

While trying to reduce our overall impact on the planet, we acknowledge that there is room for improvement. We have tried to stay as close to the following principles across our infrastructure, services, systems and processes:

1. Natural - location near a forest and streams, natural building materials - bamboo mud timber, interiors, furniture, food, landscaping

2. Local - sourced building materials, professionals, labour teams, staff, sourced food, kitchen garden, local indigenous flora, landscaping blending, economy support, culture centric, community network

3. Conservation - undisturbed terrain for building, efficient water storage and distribution, solar water heater, optimum use of water and electricity, LED bulbs, segregation of waste, compost making, surface run-off water harvesting, low-impact hotel grade toiletries and laundry detergent, sewage and grey water dumping

4. Reduction of waste - efficient estimation of construction material, kitchen & housekeeping practices, dining terms, property care terms, refillable toiletries, refillable dining items, refillable drinking water, targeted lighting design, reusing waste where possible

5. Long-run Sustainability - bare-minimum, functional, efficient and high quality  design, construction material, amenities, linen, interiors, furniture, decor, equipment to reduce frequency of replacement

Stay with us to experience the Art Mile version of socio-ecological tourism and together brighten our shared future.
