Safety First

At Art Mile Kalimpong, Safety & Security of our Guests & Staff is a top priority. We have taken great care to ensure that all guests feel safe on our property. The owners, Virgil Vihaan Sequeira & Solomi Lepcha also live on the property.

Surveillance: All public & utility areas of the property are under CCTV surveillance (16 cameras). Signs are put up around the property.

Fire Safety: We have designated Smoking areas around the property, NO SMOKING signs in and around the cottages, smoke alarms are fitted in all 12 bedrooms and extinguishers (8 x 4kg ABC & 3 x 6kg CO2) are placed at strategic locations. Click here for our Fire Safety Certificate.

Medical Emergencies: First Aid Kit is available with our staff, the nearest medical store is 10 min drive away, and for any emergencies, we are a call away with doctors and hospitals around Kalimpong town, 15 min drive from our property.

Food Hygiene: All our staff are trained in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene while storing & handling food, vessels and crockery in the Kitchens and while serving guests with regular checks by our Managers & Proprietor. We procure and serve only fresh meats and vegetables, most of which we grow ourselves in manure, free of chemicals. We serve only RO water. Click Here for our FSSAI License.

Night Staff: We have 2 staff that stay the night on the property. They can be contacted at any time for any emergencies or assistance. 

Policies: All staff are instructed to avoid disturbing guests unless absolutely necessary. They will ring the doorbell or call on your phone in case they have to contact guests. Staff will conduct housekeeping only after permission from the guests and after the second night. Staff are not allowed to enter the cottages or spend time in the vicinity of any cottage without permission from the guest or the Manager.
